Body Styles and Trim Levels

The F350 2008 model is available with regular, extended Super Cab, and Crew Cab models. The regular cab has the usual two doors, the Super Cab has two small rear opening doors for backseat access, and the Crew Cab has four full sized doors for maximum ease of getting in and dismounting for the whole team.

Four trim levels are available in the 08 F350 truck, XL, XLT, FX4, and the plush Lariat. The F350 08 XL model is a fairly basic and utilitarian work truck. Its standard features are 17 inch wheels, a radio, and vinyl interior. Even air conditioning is an option. The XLT has the a/c as standard, as well as cloth upholstery, cruise control, chrome wheels, a CD player, and powered accessories. Under The Hood

Three engine options provide ample power for whatever the job requires. The basic engine is a 5.4 liter V8 burning gasoline that generates 300 horsepower and 365 foot pounds of torque. Upping the power ante while still burning gas is an optional 6.8 liter V10, which churns out 362 horsepower and 457 foot pounds of torque. The most popular choice for serious work however, is 6.4 liter Powerstroke turbodiesel V8 that produces 350 horses 650 foot pounds. All engine are available with a six speed manual or a five speed automatic tranny, and can be had with either two wheel or four wheel drive.

In the right configuration, the 08 F350 is rated to tow as much as 15,000 pounds, can handle over 23,000 pounds gross combined weight with an optional 4.10 axle in the rear.
