Ford has built its reputation by building rugged, reliable trucks that run year after year. This record has kept Ford on top for domestic truck sales for many years, and the 2007 F350 truck is no exception to that rule. The Super Duty is a go-to for anyone who needs a true heavyweight work truck, able to haul anything short of a herd of elephants or a cargo ship.
The 07 F350 truck comes with the usual plethora of body styles, bed lengths, trim levels, powertrain, axle, and engine options. The truck can be had with a two door regular cab, an extended Super Cab that features two small rearward opening doors for access to the back seats, and the Crew Cab with four full doors, which offers the ultimate in convenience for entrance and egress. The regular cab comes with the 8 foot long bed, while the Super Cab and Crew Cab can also be had with a 6.75 short bed.
Three trim levels are offered, the XL, XLT, and plush Lariat. The base XL is a no frills work truck, which comes with bench seating, all vinyl upholstery, manually operated locks, windows, and mirrors, and a radio. Upgrading to the XLT will get you air conditioning as a standard feature, cloth upholstery, a CD player, fully powered accessories, and cruise control. The top of the line Lariat comes with leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel, front bucket seating with a fully powered drivers seat, and dual zone automatic climate control.
A few option packages are available for those seeking more from their 07 F350. The King Ranch and Harley-Davidson package add top quality leather upholstery and interior highlights, while for the off roading enthusiast the FX4 offers such off pavement improvements as enhanced shocks and skid plates. The latter package is available across all trim levels. For those doing serious hauling with a F350 07 model, the Tow Command system, which integrates the trailer brake controller with those on your truck seamlessly, is a must have option.
Three muscular engines are available one 2007 F350 models, two gasoline and one diesel. The base motor is a 5.4 liter V8 that puts out an even 300 horsepower and 365 foot pounds of torque. An optional 6.8 liter V10 offers the most horsepower, putting 362 ponies on the road with 457 foot pounds of torque. The best option for serious hauling and towing however is 6 liter Powerstroke turbodiesel V8, churning out 325 horsepower and a whopping 570 foot pounds of torque. A six speed manual tranny is mated with all these engines, but a five speed automatic with a tow-haul mode is an available option. As a dually the F350 2007 model can haul 5,800 pounds in the bed and tow 15,000 pounds, with the best optional rear towing gears.
Like the rest of the F-series turcks, the F350 07 model boasts a quieter cabin and more comfortable ride than anything in this class. This is one serious work truck that the wife and kids won't mind riding in.
