1991 GMC Sonoma SYCLONE
I love my 1991 GMC Sonoma SYCLONE for many reasons. I can’t imagine owning another truck or liking a vehicle more than this one. The three things I love about my truck is most of all the look, how it is able to handle jobs that most of the larger heavy duty trucks do and yet is stylish and sleek, similar to the smaller trucks like S10’s. I can take my Saudi Syclone 1 of 31 Turbo AWD truck anywhere I need to go off road while not looking like it while driving downtown in my city.
The GMC Sonoma Syclone was built in 1991 and by the end of that year it was the bestselling truck in the world. That gives you a hint to its popularity at the time, but I assure you they are still around and very popular, especially to the owners like me! Most of the Syclones you will see will be in black since that is the only color they were offered in in 1991 but still today, I think black is the most attractive color for a sport like truck. The next year they came out with two special editions, the Marlboro Syclone and the Indy Cyclone, which were all offered in a variety of colors.
One thing I like about my truck is the performance. For one thing, the Saudi Syclone 1 of 31 Turbo AWD truck like I have performs like a sports car. The acceleration is amazing. I see the weenie sports cars that park in my apartment complex and I guarantee, I could take half of them off the line, at least and I don’t even have any modifications to mine. It also handles like a sports car. This is why I think I could never own another truck. I have driven larger trucks that are hard to turn and many shake slightly when you drive them, but mine handles more like a Ferrari. Not only does it handle well but I have brought it into the mountains with me several times on hunting trips. I have used it off road many times and never had a problem, hauled animals as well as plenty of lumber in it, and never once did it do anything other than haul like a heavy duty truck.
Now, I love the performance of my 1991 GMC Sonoma SYCLONE more than anything but the icing on the cake, so to speak, would have to be how it holds value. I could sell my truck which is 20 years old mind you, for more money than many of the 3-5 year old cars on the road today. In fact, I have seen some Syclones go for around $15,000 which is more expensive than some brand new cars. I know that if for some very strange reason, I decided to buy a new vehicle that I would have no problem selling this one for a considerable sum.
